When Jax Ruiz, a ruined Mexican-American real-estate mogul, gets a chance to rebuild his empire along a pristine stretch of the Baja coast, his fate becomes entwined with his Mexican family tied to the land, the environmentalists desperately trying to preserve it, and the terrorists determined to destroy it all:  a luxurious coastal resort community called Paradise.
